Our Story

It started with one blazer that nobody threw away.

In 1984, in classroom 2B, Brother Aloysius confiscated a Walkman from a kid in the back row and never gave it back. That kid is now Bambang Suryadi, and forty years later he still has the maroon blazer from his graduation — moth-holed at the left elbow, name tag still sewn in.

Pangudi Limited started with that blazer. Not as a metaphor — literally. In late 2023, Bambang took a photo of the frayed cuff and sent it to three classmates in a WhatsApp group that had gone quiet since 2019. Within a week, twelve alumni from the Class of 1984 had chipped in to reprint the original crest patch, exact size, exact thread colour, matched against that one surviving jacket. They made 40. They sold out in a day, to people they hadn't spoken to in a decade.

That's still how we work. Every release starts with an object someone actually owned — a report card, a class ring, a photo from the courtyard outside the chapel — and we rebuild from there.

We are not a school store. We are alumni who happen to know how to make good clothes, using a shared memory as raw material.
